As a leading employer in the West Midlands, the Solihull based consumer finance company is delighted to support International Women’s Day and signal its commitment to the progression and equality of women.  BNP Paribas Personal Finance believes in providing an environment where people can be themselves enabling them to perform at their best.  The company continues its journey to champion diversity, fair working practices and gender balance.

Last year BNP Paribas Personal Finance signed the Women in Finance Charter; a commitment between HM Treasury and signatory firms to work together to make the financial services sector more balanced and fair.  By signing the Charter the company has pledged to have one member of its senior executive team who is responsible and accountable for gender diversity and inclusion.

Colleagues have welcomed the many initiatives to promote gender diversity and equality including the creation of a Women in Business Committee.  The Committee’s aims are to help women in their personal and professional development through developing a network within the business across all levels and all business areas.

Lynda Brennan, Director of HR, comments: “As an organisation we are deeply committed to being an inclusive employer and promoting diversity of all kinds in our workforce. Ensuring that women are represented at the highest levels of not only our own business, but the sector as a whole is critical to creating a stronger and more balanced industry for all. We have pledged to take a leading role in that change and have committed to achieve a 50/50 gender split across our senior managers by 2022.  This is a fundamental part of our people strategy and vision to create a great place to work”.
